Come Back Home (2017)
Come Back Home II is an artwork that speaks to the Khmer diaspora nation, and their wanting to return back home. The Khmer text written with the wire reads "Come back home". The text sits on a mirrored surface, asking the viewer to come close to the artwork. An element of danger is introduced by the wires as they would burn someone if they were to touch. Alluding to the current political climate in Cambodia and the current Prime Minister Hun Sen's disregard for human life, those who had left Cambodian as a result of the Khmer Rouge are unable to return back home.
