Resistance 1.0 ohms (2016)

Resistance 1.0 ohms (2016) consists of a performance where a circuit is placed on a human body. The circuit lights up an LED with the touch of another human. It's about the constant violation of the body, particularly of men on women. And this work looks at inviting people in and providing consent for this touching and giving power back to women. The use of a blue LED makes reference to the discovery of the blue LED and is revolutionary role within technology. The lighting up of the blue light is a way to acknowledge that the rise of woman's rights, and this being a little victory on behalf of women.
