Linage (2017)

Ideas of diaspora, dislocation, and the post-migratory narrative beyond the experience of the Khmer Rouge are investigated. The work “Linage” depicts how painting has been used repetitiously and through the rejection of its mastery, conveys a lack of knowledge and understanding of the language.

Gold paint is also used to accentuate the family portraits, highlighting the value of life.
